While tax reform DEFINITELY needs to happen, Obama's tax hikes are too broad and sweeping. Small businesses will be hit the worst and be forced to shut down (when you factor in ObamaCare). Hell, the Republicans have actually tried to meet the Democrats halfway on the issue and Plan B is actually much more sound. Then there's the criticisms on the fact that Plan B would require Obama to go through an appropriations committee (you know, like everyone else who wants to use government money) for his spending plan. On top of everything else, I haven't met a single economist who thinks that Obama's plan will even work.
Yeah, that's typical of Southern B.C.. The only place in Canada where you close things after a few inches of snow. You simply don't have the removal equipment for it, or the snow tires on your cars, or people who have the experience of driving in big snow and ice.
"Mountain" is an exaggeration most people might say when all they see is the chimney of their house. They're in shallow snow probably for one of two reasons: (1) The snow is densely packed beneath them, or (2) They're on a hill; I go with the latter.
